WV World Cafe
Inspiration harvested at the Writers Victoria World Cafe this morning! A small crowd of intrepid writers converged at Melbourne's Wheeler Centre to share their writing journeys. Wonderful conversation was the order of the day, with participants dipping in and out of the different themes on offer. Lots of gems were available for the taking and great connections made with like-minded writing addicts. And a welcome opportunity to showcase Raising Hope.
Safe to say we left with a renewed sense of inspiration and vigour.
Always something impressive and fun on at WV!
Phoenix...
Stoked to see Phoenix selected for publication in The Victorian Writer!
'A more united global community is emerging from the debris like the phoenix from the ashes.'
Phoenix - my essay reflecting on the challenges around terrorism in our world and how we choose to respond.
I remain confident of the greater good in the world, of our collective resilience and the spirit of courage and determination that refuses to succumb to oppression, that chooses instead to embrace our differences and stand united with people and cultures around the world, who share a steadfast resolve to live in peace... to celebrate the things that unite us.
The Victorian Writer is the monthly literary journal published by Writers Victoria, an institution supporting Australian writers of which I am proud to be a member.
