Great night last night at the Emerging Writers' Festival. We were treated to a panel of intrepid writers, led by Karen Andrews of Crying in the Car fame. Panellists included Torre DeRoche (Love with a chance of drowning), Anna Dunnill (Zines creator and publisher) and Darrell Pitt (The Firebird Mystery and Teenage Superhero series).

In fact, Darrell is the writer whose presence on the program drew me to this event in the first place. I've followed a little of his publishing journey and even met him a couple of times. A very generous guy with some gems of advice for emerging writers, whose words of wisdom have inspired me to keep on with my own publishing adventure.

Fantastic to hear about their different publishing journeys in a forum that welcomed questions and audience interaction.
