One perfect place to visit in the school holidays...

Wang Chronicle

Stoked to see the Wangaratta Chronicle include this short piece about my novel - Raising Hope - last week.

I was born and raised in Wangaratta - it's my hometown and one perfect place to visit in the school holidays, or anytime you need a break away. Wangaratta is the quintessential rural city - set in the undulating landscape of northeastern Victoria, its central to snowfields and wineries; it's home to the Wangaratta Jazz Festival; it's a beautiful city with wide, tree-lined streets and a fantastic climate bearing a sunny dispostion even in the depths of winter. Great place to grow up, with all the advantages that come with city living, but without being too big. It gave me a wonderful childhood, life-long friends and precious memories.

I live, teach and write in Melbourne these days, but keep coming back. Proud to be able to say that Wangaratta is my hometown.
